The name 'BootCamp' is a play on 'booting' or starting a computer. It serves as a complete run-through of the team formation and project or product development cycle. Originally developed by Jim and Michele McCarthy, two ex-Microsofties who were working in the C++ lab. They used their Best Practices from over 200 labs to create The Core, which is now what is used to guide students through their experience and create greatness.
